Our Northumbrian Adventure will give you a true taste of this stunning part of the UK and its significance in the history of the British Isles. It’s also ‘a must’ for any Harry Potter fans, with a visit to Alnwick Castle, where he learnt to fly his broomstick! The castle also featured in Downton Abbey. You will also visit Lindisfarne (Holy Island), internationally famous both for its medieval religious heritage and also its more recent picturesque 16th century castle.
The Ford and Ital Estates, the scene of many bloody conflicts during Anglo-Scottish warfare, are now picturesque villages framed by the Cheviot Hills.

The Blue Bell Hotel, Belford
This is an old coaching inn dating back to the 18th Century. The Blue Bell Hotel is steeped in history, with lots of rustic charm. The hotel has 25 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant overlooking our beautiful gardens and a cosy, friendly bar.
